Meridian Watches at Salon QP
Meridian Watches will once again be showcasing their growing portfolio at SalonQP. They were the darlings of last year's event when they launched their company with their first watch, the Meridian Prime featured here.
Meridian Watches are based in Norfolk, perhaps best known as a hub for automotive engineering, we termed them "English Watchmaking's Garagistas" last year because each piece is workshop assembled and hand-finished with meticulous attention to even the most miniscule details and staying true to the co-operative ethos which once strengthened engineering in the same area, everything possible is sourced in England from English companies.
The Meridian Prime features the high legibility and clean, uncluttered face-on aesthetics of a Pilot's Watch and is characterised by the sandwich construction of its dial and broad openworked hands. No short-cuts are taken in either the design of the Prime or in its construction, and the level of quality attained by such a youthful company in its debut impressed all and sundry at SalonQP 2012 - we expect nothing less of this year's new releases.
